Sherry Francis: Listing Specialist, Broker, GRI, Luxury Specialist

Sherry has been selling real estate in the Lake Norman area since 2000.  Her strong sales background and the fact that she has personally moved 12 times in her adult years, makes her a natural for selling real estate.  In the last 11 years, she has built her team from one person selling $1M a year to four people selling $25-60M a year.  Her focus has always been on excellent customer service, knowledge of the market, honesty and integrity.  Sherry’s primary focus is working with sellers to get their homes sold for the most amount of money, in the least amount of time. Along  with her husband and partner, Sandy Francis, she helps to make sure that the team runs efficiently and within the laws of North Carolina.  Sandy and Sherry live on Lake Norman and their four children all live in the Charlotte-Lake Norman area.  “Grama Sherry” is the proud Grama of Chance, Kendall, Brooke, and Audrey, and she looks forward to them visiting her house on the lake.  

Sandy Francis: Team Leader, Buyer’s Agent

Sandy has been involved in some type of sales for over 30 years. He has owned and operated several successful businesses, before selling them and moving into real estate.  Sandy is responsible mainly for making the team run profitably and successfully.  Sandy is also our team’s “Natural Salesman”.  He knows how to figure out what a buyer or sellers needs are and then has the tireless energy to make it happen.  His knowledge of the real estate market and his negotiating skills make him irreplaceable for not only the team but also for our buyers and sellers.  Clients love him and that is why “referrals” make up 50% of the teams business.  Sandy lives on the lake with Sherry and their dog, Dewars.  He enjoys relaxing on the lake with his family and friends.  Sandy also spend many hours working to help local charities in our area.


Zach Francis: Buyer’s Agent / IT web design

It has been said that Zach Francis was born to be in real estate! After graduating from Appalachian State University in 2005, he immediately joined Allen Tate Realtors in their Relocation and REO department. Once he got some his real estate license, he joined his family’s real estate team in 2006! Zach’s computer and web site knowledge allowed the team to compete with the internet presence needed to compete in today’s real estate market. When the market took a down turn in 2007 and foreclosures began to be prevalent, Zach decided to become a foreclosure expert, so he joined Benham Real Estate, a company that specializes in marketing foreclosures for the banks. Zach is now working full time in general real estate brokerage and his extensive knowledge of many of the different real estate scenarios makes him a natural to be a part of “The Francis Real Estate Team”, one of our areas top producers in real estate!!

Kelly Smith:  Listing & Closing Coordinator, Buyers Agent

Kelly, as a native of Maryland has been selling real estate in the Lake Norman area since 2003.  Before joining “The Francis Real Estate Team” in 2010, she was in general brokerage with Keller Williams Realty, Lake Norman and represented both buyers and sellers.  With “The Francis Team”, Kelly is responsible for coordinating new listings and making sure that the new listings closes once  a buyer is found.  Kelly prides herself on her customer service.  She has exceptional attention to detail and is very thorough.  Sellers and buyers love Kelly’s friendly smile and out-going personality and they feel confident that their real estate needs are being taken care of.  Kelly has lived in this area since 1999 and is married to Warren, a custom home builder.  Kelly is mother of two daughters, Maddie & Kate and she enjoys spending time in the mountains with her family.



Tina McRacken:  Administrative Manager/Marketing Specialist

Tina previously listed and sold real estate in the Lake Norman area.  She was in general brokerage for several years assisting sellers and buyers with their real estate needs.  In 2007, she joined “The Francis Real Estate Team” and is now the Administrative Manager for the team.  She also worked in computer & digital camera sales and service for 10 years.  Her technology background helps “The Francis Team” keep our listings up to date in an ever changing industry.  She seeks out the newest and greatest ways to market our listings.  She works closely with  our sellers, maintaining our web sites, and supporting our staff.  Tina, her husband, and their 2 daughters moved back to the area in 2004 to be close to the Grandparents.  In her spare time she likes going to the mountains, gardening, and having fun with her family.
